LOSING IT: NYT Writer Says Opposition to ‘Critical Race Theory’ Just ‘Republican Misinformation’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.10.21

New York Times writer and UNC professor Nikole Hannah-Jones attacked opponents of “Critical Race Theory” on social media Wednesday; saying widespread anger is simply a result of the “Republican Misinformation Campaign.”

“It’s a failure of journalism if stories on the critical race theory “controversy” do not include the factual and contextual reporting that this is a well-planned Republican misinformation strategy and that nearly nothing being labeled critical race theory actually is CRT,” posted Hannah-Jones on social media.

“Like, basic reporting would demand that we make Republicans define critical race theory, and then we fact check that against what CRT actually is and whether CRT is actually being taught where and how Republicans claim,” she added.

“Almost none of this reporting actually defines critical race theory, a clear indication that the reporters reporting on it do not actually really know what it is, nor does it question why everyone is “suddenly” talking about a legal theory that has been around for decades,” concluded the writer. “And hint: CRT is not radical if you actually know what it is. The ideal that race is embedded in the law and our nation’s institutions is simply a historical fact.”

CHARACTER, NOT COLOR: Father-Daughter Duo Speak Out on Critical Race Theory, Viral Video

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.03.21

The father-daughter duo that gained national attention this week spoke with Fox News after their video on ‘Critical Race Theory’ was viewed by millions of Americans.

“I’ve just seen a lot of things going on in America right now, going on in the world. I see the agenda being pushed on our children and they’re trying to teach our children to look at each other, not from who they are as a person, but for their skin color. I just decided I wanted to get out there and show the world what I teach my daughter and the values that I instill in her about the content of her character and not the color of her skin,” said Kory Yeshua alongside his daughter.

“They had played a video that kind of took me back and it was about segregation and there was a water fountain in the video that said Whites only. And after the video, my daughter had come to me and said why wasn’t the White kid able to play with the Black kid?”

“I did not think she was ready for heavy things like Jim Crow yet and I had to speak to her about that. And that’s actually what led up to coming out and speaking to her about these things,” Yeshua said.

“I’m so overwhelmed. It’s such a blessing but the main thing I want to get out there is I want little White kids to know they are not oppressors, I want little Black kids to know they are not oppressed. And they can do anything they want to do, anything they put their mind to. You can overcome any obstacle, your skin color does not matter,” Yeshua said.

DeSANTIS: ‘Critical Race Theory is Teaching People to Hate Our Country and Hate Each Other'

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.24.21

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ripped “Critical Race Theory” on ‘Hannity’ this week; saying the ideology is “basically teaching people to hate our country” and to “hate each other.”

“Critical Race Theory is basically teaching people to hate our country, hate each other. It’s divisive, and it’s basically an identity politics version of Marxism. It has no place in the classroom and certainly shouldn’t be funded by taxpayers,” said the Governor.

“We’re going to have a de-politicized curriculum; we’re not going to let that stuff in there. That’s going to serve the students in Florida well for years to come,” he added.

Ron DeSantis addressed reporters last month on his state’s push to get all children back into the classrooms; saying things like “Critical Race Theory” don’t deserve a single penny from Floridian taxpayers.

“There is no room in our classrooms for things like Critical Race Theory. Teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other is not worth one red cent of taxpayer money,” said DeSantis.

“We will invest in an accurate and true curriculum,” he added.
