LONE STAR SUPPORT: Dallas Salon Owner Raises $200K+ Online to Support Staff After Her Arrest

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.06.20

The Dallas Salon owner who was arrested and fined $7,000 for opening without the state’s permission has raised more than $200,000 online since the incident; vowing to defy the “unlawful order.”

“Shelley Luther is an American Hero that has decided to resist tyranny by opening her business against an unlawful State Executive Order. Her business, SALON A LA MODE offers services for hair and nails, microblading, permanent makeup, professional event makeup, braiding and more! Shelley and her team will likely face legal action, fines, and more during her journey back to freedom. She is doing what everyone else is only talking about, in a patriotic move to take back her liberty!” writes the website.

Original Story:

A Dallas salon owner will spend at least seven days in a local prison for defying the state’s shutdown order for personal care and grooming services during the Coronavirus pandemic.

“In addition, Shelley Luther was fined $7,000 for continuing to operate her business, Salon à la Mode, in violation of a judge’s temporary restraining order issued against the business. Luther was taken into custody immediately after the hearing and booked into the Dallas County jail just after 4:30 p.m.,” reports the Dallas News.

“Like other businesses deemed nonessential, Luther’s Far North Dallas salon was forced to close March 22 after the county enacted its stay-at-home order. She reopened the salon April 24 despite that order, and tore up a cease-and-desist letter from County Judge Clay Jenkins at a demonstration the next day,” adds the website.

“I couldn’t feed my family, and my stylists couldn’t feed their families,” Luther told the court. “If you think the law is more important than kids getting fed, then please go ahead with your decision, but I am not going to shut the salon.”

A NEW LOW: MSNBC Analyst Claims Trump’s Coronavirus Response Constitutes ‘Involuntary Manslaughter’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.07.20

MSNBC Legal Analyst Glenn Kirschner left millions of users on social media scratching their heads this week; baselessly asserting President Trump’s Coronavirus response could be prosecuted for “involuntary manslaughter.”

“Trump’s conduct easily satisfies all 3 elements of involuntary manslaughter. In fact, his gross negligence is beginning to look more like conduct evincing a ‘conscious disregard of an extreme risk of death/serious bodily injury = the standard for depraved heart/2nd degree murder,’” he posted on Twitter.

Ohio Democratic State Rep. Tavia Galonski took her party’s war against the White House to a new level this week; saying the President should be charged for “crimes against humanity” over his Coronavirus press briefings.

“I can’t take it anymore. I’ve been to The Hague. I’m making a referral for crimes against humanity tomorrow. Today’s press conference was the last straw. I know the need for a prosecution referral when I see one,” posted the legislator on social media.

“State Rep. Tavia Galonski tweeted Sunday after President Trump spoke about hydroxychloroquine at his daily press briefing. The drug, normally used to treat malaria, is one of several that the president has pointed to as showing promise in the fight against COVID-19, but its effectiveness has been a subject of debate,” reports Fox News.
