In a late-night TRUTH Social post, Trump warned Tehran that any violation of a looming peace agreement would trigger a military response “bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before.”
The president made clear that the U.S. forces that surged to the region are not going anywhere.
“All US Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel… will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with,” Trump wrote.
“If for any reason it is not… then the ‘Shootin’ Starts,’” he added.
The blunt warning comes as the administration pushes toward a negotiated end to the conflict, with high-stakes talks set to begin in Islamabad under Pakistani mediation.
Vice President JD Vance is expected to lead the U.S. delegation in the discussions, scheduled for Saturday.
Trump also underscored two non-negotiables he says were agreed to “a long time ago”: Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons, and the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz will remain open and secure.
“In the meantime our great Military is Loading Up and Resting, looking forward, actually, to its next Conquest,” Trump wrote. “AMERICA IS BACK!”
The U.S. has maintained a significant military posture in and around the Persian Gulf in recent weeks, amid heightened tensions tied to Iran’s regional activity and threats to shipping lanes.
The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical flashpoint.
