President Trump called on the Department of Justice to investigate senior Hillary staffer Huma Abedin and former FBI James Director James Comey on Tuesday, saying the top Clinton aide violated “basic security protocols” and handed sensitive passwords into the “hands of foreign agents.”
The President vented his frustration with the “Deep State” on social media, calling on the Justice Department to “finally act” regarding Clinton and Comey’s handling of classified material and FBI investigations.
“Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aid, Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols. She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents. Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others,” tweeted Trump.

The President was referring to a recent report showing Abedin had forwarded top-secret state department passwords to a non-secured Yahoo! account; violating federal law and placing the passwords in jeopardy of foreign surveillance.
DOJ Searching Trove of Texts from Anti-Trump Agent
The Department of Justice is rummaging through “over 10,000 texts” between the FBI agent recently demoted from Robert Mueller’s investigation for his “anti-Trump bias” and his counterparts at the special counsel’s office.
DOJ officials tell Fox News they’re currently sifting through 10,000 text exchanges to determine the extent of Strzok’s bias, and whether his personal opinions of President Trump impacted his ability to impartially conduct his investigation.
Peter Strzok was secretly re-assigned to the FBI’s Human Resources Department earlier this year after Robert Mueller was informed of his Trump-hating text exchanges with other investigators.
The revelation of anti-Trump operatives inside the special counsel’s office prompted an immediate response from GOP leaders and officials; questioning Mueller’s ability to properly investigate allegations of Russian-Trump collusion throughout the 2016 presidential race.
They’re not the only ones.
The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board published a scathing op-ed piece on Thursday, citing the text exchanges and other mistakes as irreparably damaging the special counsel’s office and demanding Mueller’s immediate resignation from the investigation.
BUSTED: New Hillary Emails Show Clinton's 'Pay-to-Play' Scheme with Donors
Newly released emails between Hillary Clinton and top aide Huma Abedin appear to show the former Secretary of State’s mishandling of classified material as well as numerous examples of her “pay-to-play” schemes with top Clinton Foundation donors.
The emails, obtained by government watchdog group Judicial Watch, reveal private communications between Clinton, Abedin, and other senior staff; detailing several instances where the failed presidential nominee violated protocol –and possibly federal law- in mishandling classified material.
“Abedin tried to set up a secure call for Clinton with Dennis, but it didn’t connect, and Clinton said, ‘We’ve now tried twice to go secure and lost both calls.’ After Abedin tells her she had tested the secure line, Clinton says, ‘We finally gave up and talked in code nonsecure,'” said a statement from Judicial Watch.
Other emails show Hillary’s willingness to engage in pay-to-play schemes, with one prominent Clinton donor requesting a change of appointment for the US ambassador to the Dominican Republic.
“On April 12, 2009, Miguel Lausell, a Puerto Rican telecom executive who reportedly donated $1 million to the Clinton Presidential Library and was a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, made a request of Abedin through Clinton Foundation executive Doug Band to push for the appointment of someone to become U.S. ambassador to the Dominican Republic,” said the Watchdog agency.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton is calling for the Justice Department to re-open the investigation of Hillary Clinton; citing multiple examples of corruption, mishandling of top-secret intelligence, and pay-to-play schemes with foreign donors.
“These new emails show why the criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s conduct must be resumed,” said Fitton.
