This week, rap star Nicki Minaj shared a post on X in support of nationwide voter ID laws to ensure safe and secure elections.
“What sensible forward thinking cutting edge leading nation is having a DEBATE on whether or not there should be VOTER ID?!?!!!! Like?!?!? They’re actually fighting NOT to have ppl present ID while voting for your leaders!!!!! Do you get it?!?!!!! Do you get it now?!?!!!” Minaj posted.
CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten says Americans overwhelmingly agree with the Grammy Award winner. Enten reviewed the latest polling on voter ID laws this week.
“The American people are with Nicki Minaj,” Enten said. “I have all this polling on the screen going back to 2018. You’ll notice on all of it, it’s all north of 75% … and 83% in the last year, Americans agree with Nicki Minaj that you should have photo ID to vote.”
