LIBERAL LOGIC: Schumer Says ‘Shortage of Workers’ is ‘Because Trump Cut Off Immigration’

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.13.21

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer continued to deflect criticism of the Democratic Party’s insistence on enhanced unemployment benefits Wednesday; instead blaming America’s work shortage on President Trump’s immigration policies.

“There are many reasons that there is a shortage of workers. Some of it is because Trump cut off immigration so severely. We have half the number of immigrants that came in,” said Schumer.

“Some of it is because people need child care and don’t have child care… Some of it is some people don’t want to go back until they’re sure COVID is beaten,” he added.

“Many more people are helped by the $300 extra, and the overwhelming support in our caucus is to keep it,” concluded the Senator.

JOEY CARTER: 1970s Return with Gas Shortages, Mideast Chaos, Inflation, Job Stagnation, Big Spending

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.12.21

A series of critical problems plagued the Biden campaign in recent days, reminding many Americans of the hardships during the late 1970s under President Jimmy Carter.

Significant issues include the threat of inflation, lower-than-expected job growth, tensions in the Middle East, and gas shortages following a cyberattack against a pivotal energy pipeline in the southeast.

“His team no doubt was prepared to unleash Biden to perform a little victory dance at the White House celebrating the stupendous number. But the show had to be hastily revamped when the actual tally came in nearly three-quarters-of-a-million jobs lower than expected; just 266,000 jobs created and unemployment unexpectedly rising to 6.1%,” reports Fox News.

“Today, there is more evidence our economy is moving in the right direction,” Biden said. “This is progress. This is a testament to our new strategy,” he said. “We’ve got work to do, to state the obvious, we have work to do.”

“U.S. Customs and Border Protection revealed Tuesday that migrant encounters jumped yet again this past April: over 178,000 in all, nearly a tenfold increase from 2020 and still above levels seen in the 2019 surge at the Mexico border,” adds Fox.

GOP REP at the BORDER: ‘It’s Not a Crisis, It’s a Disaster, This is Out of Control’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.09.21

Republican Congressman Buddy Carter toured the United States’ border with Mexico Friday; telling Americans what he witnessed was less a “crisis” and more an “out of control disaster.”

“Before I came here, I knew there was a crisis here. It’s not a crisis, it’s a disaster. Folks, this is out of control,” said Carter.

Congressman Steve Scalise toured the US-Mexico border in Texas this week witnessing first-hand “hundreds” of children “running” illegally into the United States.

“We just saw a large number of kids just come running across the border. They just came into the country illegally, just ran across, and they’ve been apprehended by Border Patrol Agents. It’s going on all around us. We’ve been here less than an hour,” said Scalise.

“They’re now getting processed. They’re coming into America. Joe Biden has created this magnet. Look at what’s happening, this is out of control,” he added.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich confirmed this week that Vice President Kamala Harris has failed to respond to his official invitation to tour the humanitarian crisis taking place along the US-Mexico border.

“I guess if you were a philosopher you would say no response is a very loud response because we’ve not received any response,” Brnovich told Fox Business’ Dagen McDowell.

Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed by Joe Biden to oversee the administration’s handling of the border crisis more than 16 days ago but has so-far failed to deliver any major address on the issue.

“Her assigned efforts on immigration, which includes overseeing diplomatic efforts with Northern Triangle countries, fit into a broader trend of the administration delegating substantial foreign policy responsibilities to her. For example, she has held calls with major world leaders like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu,” reports Fox News.

“Since the beginning of the administration and a week after Biden’s announcement, Harris has fielded questions from the media but has yet to hold a formal press conference. Meanwhile, the border crisis captivated the nation’s attention and raised a series of concerns about national security and the stability of the U.S. immigration system as a whole,” adds Fox.

“So this new surge we’re dealing with now started with the last administration, but it’s our responsibility to deal with it humanely and to – and to stop what’s happening,” Biden said last Wednesday.

“And so, this increase has been consequential, but the vice president has agreed – among the multiple other things that I have her leading – and I appreciate it – agreed to lead our diplomatic effort and work with those nations to accept re- – the returnees, and enhance migration enforcement at their borders – at their borders.”
