Incoming Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down on her previous comments regarding the lunar landing this week; comparing her ‘Green New Deal’ proposal with the “moon shot” and the Civil Rights Movement.
Cortez was speaking with supporters when she -yet again- equated her drastic climate change program with some of the United States’ greatest accomplishments.

“This is going to be the great society, the moon shot, the Civil Right Movement of our generation. That is the scale,” said Cortez.
“It’s unsurprising that the response to any bold proposal that we have is to incite fear… The only way we are going to get out of this situation is by choosing to be courageous,” she added.

LUNAR LIBERAL? Ocasio-Cortez Claims 'DEMOCRATIC PARTY' Behind 1969 MOON LANDING
Socialist superstar Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez left millions of Americans scratching their heads this week; boldly claiming that the ‘Democratic Party’ was behind the 1969 lunar landing despite Republican President Richard Nixon occupying the White House at the time.
Cortez was speaking at the Netroots Nation in New Orleans Tuesday when she credited the Democratic Party with the iconic Apollo 11 lunar landing mission; telling the packed crowd that “We are the party of King, of Roosevelt, of the ones who went to the moon!”

The self-described Democratic socialist made national headlines last month; stumbling through a host of issues after she referred to Israeli settlers as “the occupiers of Palestine.”
LUNAR LUNACY: Cortez Compares Her 2018 Election with the MOON LANDING, ‘Establishing Civil Rights’
Incoming Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez left Americans scratching their heads this week; directly comparing her 2018 midterm victory to the lunar landing and “establishing civil rights.”
Cortez was speaking with supporters in Washington, DC while promoting her ‘Green New Deal’ initiative; a program to re-invest in clean energy while moving America away from fossil fuels.
“We’ve done what we thought was impossible,” said Cortez. “We went to the moon. We electrified the nation. We established civil rights. We enfranchised the country. We dug deep and we did it. We did it, when no one else thought that we could. That’s what we did when so many of us won an election this year. That’s what so many of us did.”
