Hulk Hogan, the legendary pro wrestler who helped turn WWE into a global powerhouse, has died at 71, according to TMZ.
A “cardiac arrest” call was placed to Hulk Hogan’s Clearwater, Florida home, and medics responded, TMZ reports. He was stretchered into an ambulance.
Hogan — born Terry Bollea — shot to fame in the 1980s with his All-American “Hulkamania” persona, playing a key role in turning WWE, then known as the WWF, into a national phenomenon.
Born in Augusta, Georgia in 1953, he had two children, Brooke and Nick, with his first wife, Linda.
