According to CNN Senior Data Analyst Harry Enten, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is the least popular Senate leader since the 1980s — at least.

“How are Democrats feeling about Schumer overall?” Enten was asked on CNN.

“I think the word of the day is ‘terrible.’ Terrible, terrible, terrible,” Enten said. “Least popular Dem Senate leader ever. I looked at all the polls going all the way back to 1985. The one who has the lowest rating among Democrats is, in fact, Chuck Schumer. He’s underwater with Democrats! His own party, he’s underwater!”

Why is Schumer’s stock plummeting? “It’s because Democrats want a fighter!” Enten said.

“The super majority of Democrats believe that the Democrats in Congress are not doing enough to oppose Donald Trump,” Enten added.

Chuck Schumer is also 30+ points behind AOC in favorability among Democrats in his home state of New York.
