The GOP wants accountability for Biden’s broken border —and they’ve set their sights on Alejandro Mayorkas.
According to an exclusive report from Breitbart News, Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee have begun rolling out their investigative plans for next year in the wake of securing the House majority —and border security is high on the list. GOP committee members will question nearly a dozen employees from the Department of Homeland Security.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) sent a notice Friday to Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas requesting “prompt testimony” from Mayorkas and ten others with key roles in immigration and cybersecurity.

Mayorkas has become one of Republicans’ top targets amid illegal migration at the southern border surging to record-breaking numbers under his watch.
Judiciary Republicans wrote to Mayorkas in October demanding documentation related to his border management, citing federal data showing 3.6 million illegal migrant encounters had occurred since President Joe Biden had taken office.
More than 230,000 migrant encounters were logged at the southern border in October 2022. Numerous migrants on the terror watchlist have made it to the border.
