KNIVES OUT: Democrats Target Manchin in More Than 700 Attack Ads on Social Media

The Democrats have turned on Joe Manchin.

A new report from Newsweek found 15 Democrats have run more than 700 targeted attack ads against the Senator from West Virginia. The ads are appearing on Meta-owned social media platforms Facebook and Instagram.

Here’s the full list of Democrats who have attacked Manchin: Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH), Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D-PA), State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta (D-PA), Adm. Michael Franken (D-IA), Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes (D-WI), Alex Lasry (D-WI), Lukas Kunce (D-MO), Jewel Kelly (D-MO), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX), Muad Hrezi (D-CT), Bob Lorinser (D-MI), and Chris Couch (D-KY).

Democrats blame Manchin for failing to deliver Biden’s signature Build Back Better bill and the voting rights bill, which Manchin refused to weaken the filibuster to pass.

“As I have said before, I will not vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster,” Manchin said. 

“Ending the filibuster would be the easy way out. I cannot support such a perilous course for the nation when elected leaders are sent to Washington to unite our country by putting politics and party aside,” he added.
