Former Commissioner of the NYPD Bernie Kerik stopped-by ‘Hannity’ Wednesday night to weigh-in on the death of Minneapolis resident George Floyd; saying his arrest “defies logic, common sense, training, and police procedure.”
“I’m looking at this, you know how sensitive the neck area is, he’s not resisting, why would they keep their knee on his neck for six minutes or more?” asked Hannity.
“Nobody has the answer because it defies logic, common sense, training, and police procedures. There was no resistance… How did he get there? Why did he get there? The guys crying out that he can’t breath,” said Kerik. “This case, this is atrocious. This was an abusive use of force, it was a killing of someone who should not have died.”

BILL DENIES IT! De Blasio Claims He ‘Wasn’t Informed’ of His Own Official’s Rebuke of NYPD
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio denied Friday knowledge that a senior health official in his own administration rejected a request from the NYPD for face masks during the pandemic; telling reporters “I don’t know why I wasn’t informed but I wasn’t informed.”
“I’ve talked to Chief Monahan and I will be speaking to Commissioner Barbot this weekend,” the mayor said.
“I’ve been speaking with the commissioner constantly throughout this and I remind you we have a team of health care leaders and I’m speaking to any number of them each and every day,” he added. “A couple days ago was the last time I talked to the commissioner, and again we’re going to have a more detailed discussion this weekend. This has been going on for months now, we’ve all been communicating constantly.”
The following press release was sent out this evening, within an hour of a NY Post article being published online. The comments made by Dr. Barbot, an appointee of Mayor de Blasio, are despicable, and will not be tolerated. Stay safe and remain steadfast and vigilant. pic.twitter.com/FsdtBHKFEp

A backlash grew in New York City this week after the Health Commissioner reportedly shot-down a request from the NYPD for face masks; allegedly telling the police department “I don’t give two rats a**es about your cops.”
“Dr. Oxiris Barbot made the heartless remark during a brief phone conversation in late March with NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan, sources familiar with the matter said Wednesday,” reports the New York Post.
“I don’t give two rats’ a**es about your cops,” Barbot said, according to sources. “I need them for others.”
“What I find disturbing is that this conversation happened two months ago, that the mayor himself was made aware of it and nothing was done,” said the President of the Sergeants Benevolent Association.
“I need to understand what happened here, it does need to be addressed,” de Blasio said. “If it is accurate, the commissioner needs to apologize to the men and women of the NYPD.”

BUSTED: NYC Mayor Reportedly Used $3M NYPD 'Counter-Terror' Jet to Fly Home from Vacation
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio found himself in hot water this week after he reportedly used a $3 million “counter-terrorism” government plane to fly home from a personal vacation in Canada.
According to the NY Post, de Blasio used the jet to fly from Quebec back to the Big Apple where he was set to deliver in address in the Bronx; returning to the Canadian province later that day.
“NYPD is transporting him in their plane,” de Blasio spokesman Eric Phillips told the Post.
“It is very unusual to go on an international flight to go pick up the mayor,” said an inside source close to the police department. “I think it’s excessive, because that wasn’t what that plane was designed to do. It’s designed for counterterrorism measures. To go to Canada to get the mayor? It’s excessive.”
“Neither the NYPD nor the Mayor’s Office would say who decided to use the plane, how much the trip cost taxpayers or why the mayor didn’t take a commercial flight — which is about $300 round-trip,” writes the Post.
