Oh, look — Democrats are cursing again.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris blasted President Donald Trump for building a White House ballroom during the government shutdown, saying he was ignoring the looming SNAP funding freeze during an appearance on The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart Thursday.
Harris claimed Trump was focusing on the ballroom instead of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, which provides food aid to more than 40 million Americans and will lose funding unless Congress acts — even though Democrats voted to shut down the government and have rejected efforts to reopen it.
“Are you fu—ng kidding me? This guy wants to create a ballroom for his rich friends while completely turning a blind eye to the fact that babies are going to starve when the SNAP benefits end in just hours from now!” Harris said. “Come on!”
“I’m not going to be distracted by, ‘Oh, does the guy have a big fu—ng hammer!?’ What about those babies?!” she added.

The shutdown began Oct. 1 after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer rallied nearly all Senate Democrats to block a bipartisan funding bill. Dozens of states have warned they will halt SNAP benefits on Nov. 1 if the shutdown continues.
