An advisory panel at the Food and Drug Administration recommended Tuesday that Pfizer’s COVID vaccine be given to children as young as five, saying the benefits outweigh the health risks.
“A Food and Drug Administration advisory panel voted unanimously with one abstention that the vaccine’s benefits in preventing COVID-19 in that age group outweigh any potential risks — including a heart-related side effect that’s been very rare in teens and young adults who get a much higher dose,” reports Fox News. “The FDA isn’t bound by the panel’s recommendation and is expected to make its own decision within days.”

If approved by the FDA and recommended by the CDC, roughly 28 million American children will be eligible to receive the injections.

FAUCI 2020: No National Vaccine Mandate Because it ‘Encroaches’ on ‘Freedom of Choice’
Footage from 2020 surfaced on social media Friday showing senior COVID advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci saying he would not recommend vaccination mandates on a national level because it “encroaches upon a person’s freedom to make their own choice.”
“When a vaccine becomes available, are you going to suggest it’s mandated for Americans to get?” asked one questioner.
“I don’t think we’ve ever had a situation where you mandate it for the general population,” said Fauci. “I can see individual institutions mandating a vaccine… I don’t see it on a national level merely because of all the situations you have upon encroaching upon a person’s freedom to make their own choice of their own health.”

Fauci on Biden’s vaccine mandate:
"I think the president is being somewhat moderate in his demand, if you want to call it that."
— Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) September 10, 2021
Joe Biden outright rejected criticism of his federal vaccine mandate Friday, telling Republicans to “have at it” should they choose to file lawsuits against his administration.
[Some Governors] are calling your vaccine requirements an overreach and are threatening to challenge it in the courts,” yelled one reporter.
“Have at it,” said the President. “I am so disappointed that -particularly some Republican governors- have been so cavalier with the health of these kids. So cavalier with the health of these communities”

“My plan will extend the vaccination requirements that I previously issued in the health care field. Already, I’ve announced we’ll be requiring vaccinations that all nursing home workers who treat patients on Medicare and Medicaid, because I have that federal authority.,” said Biden Thursday night.
“Today, in total, the vaccine requirements in my plan will affect about 100 million Americans — two-thirds of all workers. And for other sectors, I issue this appeal: To those of you running large entertainment venues from sports arenas to concert venues to movie theaters, please require folks to get vaccinated or show a negative test as a condition of entry.,” he added.
“My message to unvaccinated Americans is this: What more is there to wait for? What more do you need to see? We’ve made vaccinations free, safe and convenient. The vaccine is F.D.A. approved. Over 200 million Americans have gotten at least one shot. We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin. And your refusal has cost all of us,” concluded the Commander-in-Chief.

FAUCI FLIPS: Top Doctor Calls COVID Criticism ‘Craziness’ During NY Times Podcast
From Fox News:
Chief White House medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci defended himself against criticisms of his messaging and handling of the coronavirus pandemic in a new interview, calling the condemnation “craziness.”
On the New York Times podcast “Sway,” Fauci said he had spent his life trying to save lives and his critics were trying to paint him as “Hitler.”
“The more extreme they get, the more obvious how political it is … ‘Fauci has blood on his hands,’” the infectious diseases expert said of his critics. “Are you kidding me? … Here’s a guy whose entire life has been devoted to saving lives, and now you’re telling me he’s like Hitler? You know, come on, folks.”
Frustrated Americans have hit Fauci after months of his apparent flip-flopping on COVID-19 mandates. His recently leaked emails, obtained by the Washington Post and BuzzFeed News, revealed that he had told colleagues that masks are essentially ineffective, which many noted didn’t square with his later public support of national mask mandates. Fauci renewed his argument that those refuting him are actually refuting science, doubling down on his insistence that science evolves and he’s evolved with it.
“The people who are giving the ad hominems are saying, ‘Ah, Fauci misled us,'” Fauci said. “First he said, ‘no masks,’ then he said ‘masks.’ Well, let me give you a flash. That’s the way science works.”
