Left-wing comedian Joy Behar weighed-in Tuesday on the media’s full-fledged breakdown surrounding a group of Catholic students in a recent viral video; admitting everyone rushed to judgment to hurt President Trump.

“So many people admitted they made snap judgments before all these other facts came in. … Why is that? Why do we keep making the same mistake?” asked co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

“Because we’re desperate to get Trump out of office… I think that’s the reason. The press jumps the gun a lot […] We are basically hoping that Cohen’s got the goods, so it’s wishful thinking.

UPDATE: Covington Catholic School Cancels Classes Over Security Concerns Following Viral Video

Covington Catholic High School in Park Hills, Kentucky was forced to cancel classes Tuesday after a video featuring several students went viral on social media, reports USA Today.

The video -featuring students and a Native American tribal leader in Washington, DC- was posted on Twitter by a since-suspended account over the weekend.

“After meeting with local authorities, we have made the decision to cancel school and be closed on Tuesday, January 22, in order to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff,” confirmed the school’s principle.

“All activities on campus will be cancelled for the entire day and evening. Students, parents, faculty and staff are not to be on campus for any reason. Please continue to keep the Covington Catholic Community in your prayers,” he added.

UPDATE: President Trump Says Covington Students Have Become ‘Symbol’ of Fake News

President Trump weighed-in Tuesday on the ongoing controversy surrounding the mainstream media’s total meltdown while covering a viral video featuring high school students; saying the Covington teens have become the “symbol of fake news.”

“Nick Sandmann and the students of Covington have become symbols of Fake News and how evil it can be. They have captivated the attention of the world, and I know they will use it for the good – maybe even to bring people together. It started off unpleasant, but can end in a dream!” tweeted the president.

The viral video showed the students interacting with a Native American tribal leader in Washington, DC. The account that initially posted the footage has since been suspended.
