Cheatle isn’t cooperating…
Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle is on the Hill today to answer for her department’s failure to protect former President Donald Trump in an assassination attempt in Butler, PA earlier this month.
Cheatle kicked off the hearing by stonewalling Committee Chair James Comer; “The Secret Service is conducting an internal investigation,” was Cheatle’s boilerplate answer.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) grew increasingly frustrated with Cheatle’s lack of cooperation; the Judiciary Chair blasted the USSS Director in a fiery exchange.
“It looks like you won’t answer some pretty basic questions. It looks like you got a 9% raise and you cut corners when it came to protecting one of the most well-known individuals on the planet. A former president,” Jordan said, losing his patience.

Jordan also went after Cheatle for denying multiple requests from the Trump campaign for more Secret Service protection; “How many times did you tell them no, and what did you tell them no to?” Jordan asked Cheatle.

Shortly before the break, Oversight Chair Comer blasted Cheatle for being uncooperative and warned her that many of the questions she dodged would come around again.
