JERSEY DEVIL: Bomb Threats on NJ Polling Sites Found to Be 'Not Credible' [WATCH]

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.04.25

Election Day panic swept through parts of New Jersey on Tuesday after state officials said multiple polling places were shut down following email threats sent to local authorities overnight.

Attorney General Matthew Platkin confirmed that several sites across Bergen, Essex, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Passaic counties were temporarily closed “out of an abundance of caution.”

Law enforcement scrambled to secure each location as voters were redirected to nearby polling sites. Some polling places have since reopened after being cleared by police.

“There are no credible threats at this time,” said Lt. Gov. Tahesha Way, urging residents to stay calm and keep voting.

Platkin praised police and poll workers “working tirelessly to ensure everyone’s safety,” vowing that anyone attempting to disrupt the election would be “swiftly held accountable.”

Officials are urging anyone who spots suspicious activity to call 911 immediately.
