'IT'S DESPICABLE!': Leavitt Blasts Omar After Squad Member Won't Condemn D.C. Attack [WATCH]

During her press briefing on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt blasted squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for refusing to comment on the antisemitic act of terror that killed two Israeli diplomats in Washington, D.C., Wednesday night.

Omar refused to comment when confronted by reporters, saying, “I’m going to go for now.”

Leavitt condemned Omar’s reaction to the attack, calling it “despicable.”

“It’s despicable and, frankly, we have seen a rise in antisemitic protests, of pro-Hamas protests, of terrorist sympathizers. We saw them on our college campuses and we’ve seen the Democratic Party turn a blind eye and in some cases actually embrace such antisemitic illegal behavior,” said Leavitt. “The president has made it very clear that such hatred will have no place in our country.”

Omar later took to X to condemn the attacks.

Two Israeli Embassy staffers were gunned down by a pro-Palestinian terrorist outside the Capital Jewish Museum in D.C. on Wednesday night.

Yaron Lischinsky, 28, and Sarah Milgrim were fatally shot in the street as they left the American Jewish Committee’s ACCESS Young Diplomats Reception just after 9 pm.

The suspected terrorist accused of fatally shooting the two staffers has ties to a radical left-wing group known for leading Black Lives Matter protests and aggressively advocating for Palestinian causes.

Elias Rodriguez, 31, allegedly confessed to gunning down the couple outside the museum when he was heard chanting, “Free, free Palestine,” cops said.
