Former Speaker of the House and Fox News contributor Newt Gingrich stopped by Hannity Wednesday night to offer his take on the recent congressional hearings in which Trump Admin members made Democrats look foolish.
Specifically, recent examples involving FBI Director Kash Patel and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
Gingrich says President Trump picks fighters — the best people — and Democrats just aren’t prepared to spar with this administration.
“First of all, it’s very unfair,” Gingrich said. “President Trump picks brilliant people. They know what they’re doing — they do their homework — and they’ve actually achieved real things. And they’re up against a group of people who are lazy, out of touch with reality, who don’t do their homework, and who set themselves up to look like fools. I think it’s a very unfair fight.”
“Scott Bessent, who is clearly, dramatically smarter than any Democrat on that panel and Patel, who I’ve known for years, is not only smart but he’s really tough. A Democrat who wants to pick a fight with Kash Patel, that person needs counseling,” Gingrich said.
“These people are three or four steps slow.”
