Tlaib and Omar found themselves at the center of multiple national controversies just weeks ago; with Tlaib calling the President a “motherf***er” and Omar posting a series of anti-Semitic tweets on social media.

“The President does not like any form of immigration. He has been cutting down and imposing restrictions on legal forms on family re-unification and so on. He’s ending DACA protections,” said Cortez. “In doing so, he’s criminalizing a population of people in the United States and now he’s asking for $5 billion to continue to militarize and weaponize a force that has zero accountability.”
“We need to feel the pain, the struggle, the hopes and the dreams of the people who this President likes to demonize,” added Rep. Ilhan Omar.
WRONG! Rep. Tlaib Says Americans Don’t Like Socialism Because they ‘Don’t Understand It’
Recently sworn-in Rep. Rashida Tlaib defended her socialist policies from President Trump’s fierce defense of freedom following his State of the Union address Tuesday night; bizarrely claiming American’s don’t like socialism because they “don’t understand it.”
“I mean look, for me I think a lot of people don’t understand it [socialism]. I mean the library and the post office is socialism — so many of the things that we have in our country that we all value is very much based on those values of equality,” Tlaib told the Hill.
The President slammed the Democratic Party’s recent embrace of socialist principles during his address, saying “Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country. America was founded on liberty and independence — not government coercion, domination and control.”
“We are born free, and we will stay free. Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country,” he added.
