The South Carolina Democratic Party has granted conspiracy-theory obsessed MSNBC exclusive rights to air live coverage of their 2019 convention this weekend; prompting many in the industry to say the party is refusing to leave their liberal echo-chamber.
“The South Carolina Democratic Party has made MSNBC the only network permitted to air live coverage of its 2019 convention this weekend that will feature 21 of the party’s 2020 presidential hopefuls — but C-SPAN’s political boss thinks the party is ‘shooting themselves in the foot’ with the unprecedented decision,” reports Fox News.
“MSNBC has live broadcast rights, which comes with a three-hour embargo on footage for reporters from other outlets. Fox News has filed a complaint, a spokesperson for the network confirmed. CNN reportedly filed a complaint, too, but did not immediately respond to a request for comment,” adds the article.
The event will feature Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders, Bill De Blasio, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and others.
“Following their appearances on the network, candidates are permitted to speak to other members of the press. But the arrangement with MSNBC has enraged C-SPAN executives, as similar events are typically open to all news organizations for live coverage,” adds Fox.
“This leaves a bad taste in our mouths,” said C-SPAN political editor Steve Scully. “Our disappointment is that we intended to cover this, we had laid the groundwork and started to promote it. It’s disappointing all the way around. We hope this isn’t an ongoing pattern.”

“@realDonaldTrump has raised a record breaking $24.8M in less than 24 hours for his re-election. The enthusiasm across the country for this President is unmatched and unlike anything we’ve ever seen!” posted GOP Chair Ronna McDaniel.

“He kept his promises, he is passionate about America. He wants to keep us safe, I am tired of people hating on him. He is doing his best to defend us,” Alan Machapento, a New Jersey native, told Fox News. “I am watching the Dow, we have the lowest unemployment ever.”
“From the moment he said he was running, I was a Trump fan,” said another supporter. “He is not a politician, and I am so glad my grandson is going to grow up in an America that is great.”
