The Ukrainian Parliament is in session, despite a constant barrage of attacks and shelling from Mad Vlad’s invading Russian army. Members met to vote on emergency defense and security laws, but took a moment to sing the Ukrainian national anthem as a sign of unity.

“#Ukraine Parliament sits in person today to vote essential defense and security laws.A quick and tense session. We sing the national anthem in unity as we begin our session in the most targeted building in all of Ukraine. #LoveUkraine,” tweeted Ukrainian MP Lesia Vasylenko.

American House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy sent a tweet acknowledging Ukraine’s toughness while taking a shot at feckless Democrats.

“If Ukraine’s Parliament can meet in person in the midst of a Russian invasion, why can’t Washington Democrats show up for work in Congress?”
