2024 Heating Up

'I'M YOUR MAN': Trump Asks 'Why Debate?' Says Record One of the 'BEST EVER'

Donald Trump will skip the first GOP presidential debate that will air on Fox News next week. Instead, the former President and 2024 frontrunner will sit down for an interview with Tucker Carlson.

Trump foreshadowed the decision in a TRUTH Social post Thursday night.

“Many people are asking whether or not I will be doing the DEBATES? ALL AMERICANS have been clamoring for a President of extremely High Intelligence. As everyone is aware, my Poll numbers, over a “wonderful” field of Republican candidates, are extraordinary. In fact, I am leading the runner up, whoever that may now be, by more than 50 Points. Reagan didn’t do it, and neither did others. People know my Record, one of the BEST EVER, so why would I Debate? I’M YOUR MAN. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

From Reuters:

Trump’s rivals for the Republican presidential nomination ahead of the 2024 election will gather at the debate to tout their candidacies. Trump has an Aug. 25 deadline to voluntarily surrender in Fulton County, Georgia, after being charged this week in a fourth criminal indictment.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, charged Trump and 18 associates for a scheme intended to reverse his 2020 election loss to Democrat Joe Biden.

Most self-identified Republicans polled in June said they saw politics behind the indictments of Trump up to that point. Trump is leading polls for the party’s nominations.
