Embattled Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to raise eyebrows for millions of Americans over the weekend when she claimed Republicans “amended the Constitution” to prevent the re-election of Franklin Roosevelt; seemingly unaware he died in office near the end of World War II.
According to AOC, Congress amended the Constitution to prevent FDR from being re-elected:
"They had to amend the Constitution of the United States to make sure Roosevelt dd not get reelected."

“When our party was boldest, the time of the New Deal, the Great Society, the Civil Rights Act… we had a period of super majorities in the House and the Senate, we had the presidency. They had to amend the constitution of the United States to make sure Roosevelt did not get re-elected,” claimed Cortez during a town hall event hosted by MSNBC.
“There were so many extraordinary things happening in that period of time that were uniting working people,” she added.
AOC ERUPTS: Ocasio-Cortez SLAMS Mitch McConnell, Says He ‘Doesn’t Want to Save the Planet’
Embattled Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez unloaded on Sen. Mitch McConnell Tuesday; bizarrely suggesting the GOP leader “doesn’t want to save the planet” and will be “drinking oil in 30 years.”
“What McConnell’s doing is that he’s trying to rush this bill to the floor without a hearing… without working through committee — because he doesn’t want to save our planet. Because he thinks we can drink oil in 30 years when all our water is poisoned,” Ocasio-Cortez reportedly said.

AOC EXPLODES: Cortez Says She ‘Doesn’t Care Anymore’, Screams ‘I’m the Boss’ on Climate Change
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to deflect criticism of her ‘Green New Deal’ over the weekend; repeatedly yelling “I’m the boss” when it comes to climate-change policy and future legislation.
“You know what? I don’t care anymore. Again, I’m at least trying and they’re not. The power is in the person who’s trying regardless of the success. If you’re trying you’ve got all the power,” claimed Cortez.

“I just introduced ‘Green New Deal’ two weeks ago and it’s creating all of this conversation. Why? Because no one else has even tried… You try, you do it. Because you’re not. Until you do it, I’m the boss. How about that?” she yelled.
