The Left is Losing It

Hillary Clinton Back — Here's Why Democrats Keep Losing

The former Democratic presidential candidate is once again weighing in on America's problems, even as her party struggles at the ballot box.

Hillary Clinton is back on the interview circuit, and she’s not holding back. In a recent appearance, the twice-failed presidential candidate went on a familiar tirade about America falling short of its ideals — but quickly made clear exactly who she believes is to blame for standing in the way of progress.

Clinton lamented that forces are trying to “recreate a world dominated by white men of a certain persuasion, a certain religion, a certain point of view, a certain ideology,” calling it damaging to the country’s future. In other words, if you’re a traditionally-minded American with religious convictions and conservative values, Hillary just put a target on your back — again.

What’s remarkable is the casual confidence with which Clinton makes these sweeping generalizations. The same political class that demands sensitivity and careful language around every other demographic group apparently has no problem painting tens of millions of working-class, church-going Americans as the primary obstacle to a better nation. No acknowledgment of the irony. No self-awareness that this exact brand of elite condescension is precisely what has driven voters away from the Democrat Party in droves.

Clinton did manage to find a silver lining for herself, noting that before Trump, America was “on the right trajectory” — which tells you everything you need to know. To Hillary and her allies, progress means a country moving further away from the values, faith, and culture that built it. Voters disagreed in 2016, disagreed again in 2024, and if comments like these are any indication, Democrats are nowhere close to figuring out why.
