During a presser from the Oval Office on Friday, President Trump confirmed that he intends to continue cleaning up the nation’s most dangerous cities.
After D.C. comes Chicago, Trump said.
“I think Chicago will be next, and then we’ll help with New York,” Trump revealed.
“It won’t even be tough,” Trump said. “And the people in Chicago … are screaming for us to come … I did great with the Black vote, and they want something to happen.”
“A lot of these people you see on television — including the people in this audience — they’ll say bad things about me and then they’ll say, ‘thank God he’s here.’ Because half of them got mugged and they don’t want to get mugged again.”
“The people right here are all happy, because you’re not going to get mugged in Washington D.C. anymore.
AG Pam Bondi shared some updated statistics from the D.C. crime crackdown on X: “719 arrests and 91 illegal guns seized in Washington, DC Just yesterday, we made 40 arrests, took five more illegal firearms off our streets, and had 36 ICE arrests—including a suspected MS-13 gang member.”
