Democrats are claiming they are “mostly peaceful…”

At least 2,000 anti-ICE protesters flooded downtown Los Angeles Sunday, with rioters setting self-driving cars ablaze as chaos escalated for a third straight day.

LAPD Chief admitted his force is “overwhelmed” by the violence and destruction.

The crowd took over the 101 Freeway around 4 p.m., bringing traffic to a standstill, according to police.

The protesters blocked both lanes of the freeway, bringing traffic to a standstill as authorities in riot gear created a line beneath a bridge to prevent them from moving forward, the LAPD Central Division wrote on X.

From The New York Post:

In the chaos, two motorcyclists attempted to barge through the skirmish line, according to the LAPD Central Division. Two officers were struck and injured and both motorcyclists were arrested.

The freeway was reopened to car traffic a little more than an hour later. But it was shut yet again around 7:30 p.m. after rioters began hurling objects onto the southbound lanes and damaging police cars, the LAPD said.

Elsewhere, rioters vandalized unoccupied, driverless Waymo taxis — graffitiing them, breaking their windows and setting at least five on fire, NBC Los Angeles reported.

A shirtless vandal stood atop a spray-painted Waymo and waved a Mexican flag as flames and smoke rose nearby, according to photos from the scene.

Elon Musk shared a photo of the chaos, saying, “This is not ok.”

President Trump shared a message on TRUTH Social saying, “Governor Gavin Newscum and ‘Mayor’ Bass should apologize to the people of Los Angeles for the absolutely horrible job that they have done, and this now includes the ongoing L.A. riots. These are not protesters, they are troublemakers and insurrectionists. Remember, NO MASKS!”

Trump ultimately ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops to quell the protests, overriding California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s objections.
