The House voted 221-204 on Wednesday to refer Rep. George Santos’ potential expulsion to the Ethics Committee for investigation —and both sides of the aisle got pretty heated about it.
Following the vote on the steps of the Capitol, Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) exchanged verbal jabs, with Bowman insisting the GOP is hanging on “by a thread.”

After the vote, Bowman also had a heated exchange with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who has adamantly supported Santos throughout his many scandals relating to fabrications of his employment and educational background that have prompted state and federal investigations.
Greene repeatedly said, “Biden is a criminal,” as Bowman engaged with her.
“Your party is hanging by a thread,” Bowman said.
Green replied, “Nah, we gotta get rid of Biden. We gotta save the country.”
Greene started chanting, “Impeach Biden,” but she did not get anyone to join her. Bowman asked Greene and Republicans to drop the “debt ceiling nonsense.”
When Bowman asked her to do something about gun control, Greene responded, “Close the border. Save the children.”
Prior to the heated exchange between MTG and Bowman, AOC and Bowman were yelling at Santos while he was speaking to reporters, calling on him to resign.
