The House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol announced on Tuesday morning that its Wednesday hearing would be postponed —a reason for the delay was not provided.
From Fox News…
The committee has yet to release an explanation for the Tuesday announcement. The committee held a primetime hearing last week, followed by a hearing on Monday.
The Jan. 6 committee is tasked with investigating the circumstances leading up to and during the pro-Trump storming of the U.S. Capitol in early 2021. The committee’s Monday hearing focused heavily on former President Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election results through litigation.
Former President Trump has been blasting the committee on TRUTH Social and in statements released through his Save America PAC; Trump called the ratings for the hearing “absolutely awful” and says they were ‘sponsored’ by Adam ‘Shifty’ Schitt and “the same people that brought you the Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX…” Trump added.
Trump also recently released a 12-page statement, in which he said “Seventeen months after the events of January 6th, Democrats are unable to offer solutions. They are desperate to change the narrative of a failing nation…”
