Prominent GOP voices are blasting Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for his botched (non) response to the train derailment disaster in East Palestine, Ohio; “he should resign” if he can’t explain himself, says RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
Pete Buttigieg needs to visit East Palestine and explain himself. If he can’t provide the answers Americans deserve, he should resign.

The official RNC Research Twitter account torched Buttigieg for downplaying the disaster. Pete reminded Americans there are roughly 1,000 derailments a year (not sure how that helps Pete’s case, here.)

Fox News host Tucker Carlson is calling for Pete’s immediate firing.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) says Buttigieg is “nowhere to be found.”
What happened in East Palestine, Ohio is unacceptable.

And Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene hit Pete for attempting to pin it on former President Donald Trump:
It’s 2023 @PeteButtigieg.
Stop blaming Trump.https://t.co/aQjGqJNkyB
