Missouri Senator Josh Hawley stopped by Hannity Thursday night to rail against federal district court judges interfering with President Trump’s agenda.
…an agenda that was mandated by the American people.
Hawley blasted the radical judges and plans to introduce a bill to stop them.
“Right now, Donald Trump is subject to 15 separate nationwide injunctions blocking his ability to remove trans individuals from the military; blocking his ability to cut off federal funding for hospitals that perform tras surgeries on minors; blocking his ability to clean up USAID and get rid of all the corruption — this is ridiculous stuff, and Congress has authority,” Hawley told Hannity.
“We ought to pass a law immediately — and I’m going to introduce a bill to do it — that will eliminate these nationwide injunctions and stop this abuse,” Hawley added.
Hannity stressed every Republican needs to support the bill.
“What these district courts are doing is wrong; it’s unconstitutional,” Hawley continued. “This isn’t about Congress taking away power courts currently have. This is about Congress reforming and stopping the abuse. These are the entry-level federal courts. They do not have the authority to go out and say, ‘Mr. President, you can’t do this.'”
“In Trump’s first term, there were 64 national injunctions issued against him — in Obama’s entire term, only 12. So you can see where this is going, and we have to put a stop to it,” Hawley added.
Hannity and Hawley also get into Democrats at town halls, Chuck Schumer, and more.
