Democrats hate shutdowns — except when they don’t.
During Monday night’s Hannity, Fox News host Sean Hannity discussed outrageous Democratic Party demands that are making a government shutdown look more likely.
“Democrats have a favorite method for keeping the government open — something known as a clean CR, a continuing resolution. It just keeps the government funding at current levels, no strings attached … Schumer once loved clean CRs so much, he demanded one of President Trump,” Hannity reminded viewers Monday night.
So, what happened? Well, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries are leaders in name only and have been forced to fall in with the more radical wing of their party.
Now, Democrats are demanding $1.5 trillion dollars in funding for free health care for illegal aliens, funding for NPR and PBS, climate and DEI funding, and more.
They also want an extension of Obamacare subsidies, a COVID-era emergency measure.
Republicans are not going to fund it.
Are we heading towards a shutdown? It looks that way.
