Schumer will never live it down…
Senate Republicans took a playful jab at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Wednesday — National Hamburger Day — over the New York senator’s past failings as grill master (who puts cheese on a raw burger?!).
In the photo that appeared in the 2024 Father’s Day post, Schumer is shown totally botching his family’s burgers on the grill.
“Our family has lived in an apartment building for all our years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we’re having a barbeque with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill!” Schumer wrote in the 2024 post.
After getting grilled by conservatives, he deleted the post.
This year, the NRSC dropped a video remembering Schumer’s grill fail and urged voters to “join a real party, the Republican Party. We grill right.”
The NRSC was also selling related merchandise on its website, including beer koozies that read, “I grill like I vote. Right.”
