Patrick Mahomes is a man of faith.
According to The Daily Wire, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes told reporters during a Super Bowl event in Arizona on Monday that “my Christian faith plays a role in everything that I do.”
“I mean, I always ask God to lead me in the right direction and let me be who I am for His name,” he added. “Obviously it will be on a huge stage in the Super Bowl that He’s given me and I want to make sure I’m glorifying Him while I do it.”
From The Daily Wire:
Mahomes also spoke about his relationship with God last month after the Chiefs beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship. He had sustained a high-ankle sprain going into the game and praised God for healing the injury in time to play.
“First off, I wanna thank God, man,” Mahomes said after the game. “He healed my body this week, had to battle through that. He gave me the strength to be out here.”
“But I was with this team, man,” he added. “We played together. I said it from the beginning, when we were in the locker room, I said we gotta be together and this team stepped up.”
