During a recent Fox News appearance, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino provided a unique behind-the-scenes look at President Trump’s historic crime crackdown.
“The President, early on, with regards to this crush in violent crime, whether it’s in San Francisco, Chicago, or any other major city — this is the untold story of this op,” Bongino started, adding this is a “behind the scenes” look.
“I get appointed in February, Kash [Patel] is there a little bit earlier … The President brings us in and, in essence, he says to us, ‘I’m a builder. I made a lot of these big cities.’ He has zero tolerance for violent crime — he just does … he sees homelessness, crime — he can’t stand it. He says, ‘What do we have to do to fix this?'”
Bongino says Trump essentially gave the FBI the go-ahead to go after the “demon savages” currently running wild in some of America’s biggest cities.
“Go get ’em, boys,” Bongino recalls Trump saying.
Bongino says the FBI has made 28,000 violent crime arrests so far in 2025 — an already-record-breaking number.
