And now you know why Gav likes to release so many criminals — votes, votes, votes!
In a viral clip of a street interview in Los Angeles, a man told independent journalist Nick Shirley that Gov. Gavin Newsom approved his release after convictions including murder, carjacking, and robbery.
Under California law, governors have final say over life-sentence paroles following recommendations from the Board of Parole Hearings, which evaluates rehabilitation and risk.
“I’d vote for him because he got me released, coming home from a life sentence — He signed off saying I’m fit for society,” the ex-con tells Shirley.
“What were you locked up for?” Shirley asked.
“Murder, carjacking, and robbery,” the man replies.
Yikes.
Fox News contributor Joe Concha shared the clip, saying, “Another campaign ad against Newsom. This might be the best yet. The victim’s family must be thrilled.”
