Members of the House Freedom Caucus Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Chip Roy (R-TX) stopped by Tuesday night’s edition of Hannity to discuss the battle over the looming government shutdown.
House GOP originally had a deal that would fund the government through October 31st.
“What happened to [the deal you had] and where do you go from here?” Hannity asked.
“Today, unfortunately, we voted down a DOD appropriations bill that would have cut abortion tourism; cut transgender surgeries; cut chief diversity officers…we put forward a bill that would have cut spending to all the non-defense, non-veteran bureaucracy by 8% and attached to it H2, the strongest border security bill we’ve ever passed,” Roy told Hannity.
“Unfortunately, now, we’re in danger of handing over home-field advantage to the Democrats.”
Gaetz weighs in next.
“I can assure you that Speaker McCarthy deserves all the criticism and more,” Gaetz says, before unloading on the Speaker of the House.
