Louisiana Senator John Kennedy questioned members of Biden’s DHS on Wednesday and was quickly flustered by how little the senior officials knew about the number of crossings at the border.
“Since President Biden has been President, how many non-citizens have come into our country illegally or under a claim of asylum?” Kennedy asked. “Do you know the number?”
“No, Senator,” a senior DHS official Cardell Morant replied.
“You’re a senior member of Homeland Security, are you not?” Kennedy said.
“That’s right,” Morant replied.
“Does anybody know the number? None of you know the number. Try eight million,” Kennedy said.
“8,000,000 is four Nebraskas! Four new states.”
