First Lady Dr. Jill Biden wanted applause —and she didn’t get it.
According to a Fox News report, while delivering remarks on Thursday at the Reagan Institute Summit on Education (RISE) in Washington, D.C., First Lady Dr. Jill Biden dropped a line she was hoping we get a reaction from the crowd only to have it fall flat.
“I’ve visited red states and blue states and I’ve found that the common values that unite us are deeper than our divisions,” she said, waiting for someone to clap.
She was forced to prod the audience.
“I thought you might clap for that,” the FLOTUS said.
