FAMILY FEUD? Rob Reiner's Son Eyed as Person of Interest in Killing After Bodies Discovered: Report

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.15.25

Legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife of 36 years, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Brentwood home Sunday afternoon, their throats slit in a brutal attack, according to reports.

The couple’s daughter, Romy, made the gruesome discovery and immediately told police that a family member should be considered a suspect, describing the relative as “dangerous,” sources told TMZ.

Investigators say the claim came amid a heated family argument.

The “A Few Good Men” director, 78, and Michele, 68, suffered stab wounds to their throats among multiple wounds across their bodies, sources told The New York Post.

Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, is being eyed as a person of interest, sources previously said, noting that a knife was used in the attack.

Police swarmed the quiet Brentwood neighborhood as news spread.

LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said at a tense press conference that no arrests had been made, but confirmed detectives were interviewing family members. “We’re going to try to speak to every family member that we can to get to the facts of this investigation,” he said.

Authorities initially withheld the victims’ identities. The family later confirmed the horrifying truth. A family spokesperson told Variety, “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”

“Personally, I am heartbroken by the tragic loss of Rob and his wife, Michele. I knew Rob and have tremendous respect for him,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in part.
