While descending the stairs of Air Force One on Tuesday in Michigan, President Joe Biden had a quick slip —but luckily caught himself before a full-on fall. That’s classic Joe. But the bizarre tree-climbing remark he made later? Well, maybe that’s classic Joe, too.

Biden, 80, made the bizarre remark during a private fundraiser at the Atherton, Calif., home of billionaire philanthropists Mark Heising and Liz Simons, according to a pool report.
The president “joked that he wanted to climb on the large tree growing in the middle of the courtyard,” according to USA Today reporter Michael Collins.
The tree in question was a 100-year-old oak, NBC Bay Area reported.
