Texas Senator Ted Cruz roasted his former opponent on social media Wednesday; torching former Congressman Beto O’Rourke for comments he made on late-night television.
“It’s a crowded field… Do you ever have doubts? Do you ever miss how easy it was to be different from Ted Cruz?” asked Late Night comedian Seth Meyers.
“Where is Ted Cruz when you need him?” joked O’Rourke.
“…in the Senate,” fired-back Cruz on social media.

O’Rourke viciously attacked President Trump and his supporters Monday; saying his recent ‘MAGA’ event in North Carolina was like an “impromptu Nuremberg rally.”
"Yes, President Trump is a racist," 2020 candidate Beto O'Rourke tells @ABC News.

“Do you think that President Trump is a racist?” asked ABC News.
“Yes, President Trump is a racist. What we saw in North Carolina last week was almost an impromptu Nuremberg rally; inciting hatred and violence against people based on the color of their skin, based on their religion,” said O’Rourke.
“It’s very clear the path that he is taking us on. We either willingly submit to that, or we stand up against it and stand for what we know this country can be. That’s what I’m trying to do,” he added.
CRUZ MOVES: Sen. Ted Cruz Introduces Bill for $25 BILLION BORDER WALL
Republican Senator Ted Cruz and other GOP lawmakers introduced legislation Friday that would allocate upwards of $25 billion for the construction of a physical wall along the United States’ southern border with Mexico.
The WALL Act was introduced by Senators Ted Cruz, Jim Inhofe, John Kennedy, and Mike Rounds, and would “fully fund” the President’s signature wall by “closing existing loopholes” that provide benefits and other government subsidies to “illegal immigrants.”
“I have long called for building a wall as a necessary step in defending our border and stopping the flow of illegal immigration into our country. The overwhelming majority of Texans and Americans want to see the border secured,” Cruz said in a press release. “The WALL Act would fully fund the border wall by closing existing loopholes that provide illegal immigrants with federal benefits and tax credits, without affecting the benefits and tax credits used by Americans.”
Legislators from both parties have until the end of Friday to prevent a partial government shut-down should they fail to reach a budget agreement.

CRUZ ON HANNITY: Democrats Will IGNORE Mueller Report, Push to ‘Impeach Trump Anyway’
Texas Senator Ted Cruz stopped-by ‘Hannity’ Tuesday night to comment on the special counsel’s ‘No Collusion’ report; saying House Democrats will move to impeach the president regardless simply because they “hate Donald Trump.”
“You’re a Constitutional scholar. You appreciate how severe this is for the country. How do we rectify this and make sure it never happens again?” asked Hannity.
“This weekend was a very good weekend for the country. We’ve had two years of this investigation and during this entire time every Democrat and the media has been breathlessly covering every minute of it,” said Cruz.
“We now have the report, the special counsel concluded there was no evidence of collusion… Mark my words, the House Democrats are going to impeach the President anyway,” he added.
