ELON AGAIN, NATURALLY: Musk's SpaceX Crew Docks at ISS, Stranded NASA Astronauts Prepare to Come Home [WATCH]

Musk to the rescue — again.

According to a Fox News report, astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are set to return to Earth as early as Tuesday thanks, in part, to Elon Musk.

Wilmore and Williams have been aboard the International Space Station since June, even though their mission was originally scheduled for just one week. Following Boeing’s first astronaut flight, technical issues forced NASA to return the Starliner empty, leaving the astronauts stranded in space.

Now, they’re coming home this week.

SpaceX launched Crew Dragon 10 to the ISS from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Friday to relieve Crew-9 members from their duties aboard the orbiting observatory.

Wilmore, Williams, Crew-9 Commander Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov were originally scheduled to splash down off Florida’s coast on Wednesday. Now, due to unfavorable weather, NASA is targeting undocking from the space station at 1:05 a.m. ET Tuesday with splashdown just before 6 p.m. the same day.

“The updated return target continues to allow the space station crew members time to complete handover duties while providing operational flexibility ahead of less favorable weather conditions expected for later in the week,” NASA said in a statement.
