Governor Ron DeSantis wants to make it absolutely clear to educators and parents what’s appropriate content for schools to be teaching young Floridians; DeSantis shared his “cheat sheet” on Twitter:

“As students head back to their classrooms this fall, I’m happy to clear up any “confusion” the media may have about appropriate curriculum: ✅ Math, Reading, Writing ❌ CRT, Sexualized Content, Transgender Ideology Florida schools will educate children, not indoctrinate them.”

Earlier this year, Governor DeSantis signed House Bill 7 ∏a bill that stated Florida education would not include “indoctrinating students with CRT principles such as:

Members of one race, color, national origin, or sex are morally superior. A person, by virtue of his or her race, color, national origin, or sex is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive. A person’s moral character or status as either or oppressed is necessarily determined by his or her race, color, national origin, or sex. Such virtues as merit, excellence, hard work, fairness, neutrality, objectivity, and racial colorblindness are racist or sexist.

“No one should be instructed to feel as if they are not equal or shamed because of their race,” DeSantis stated. “In Florida, we will not let the far-left woke agenda take over our schools and workplaces. There is no place for indoctrination or discrimination in Florida.”
