DROPPIN EM IN DELAWARE: Diamond State Joins NJ —Lifts Mask Mandates in Schools, Indoors

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.07.22

Governor of Delaware John Carney joined neighboring New Jersey in ending mask mandates for public schools, signaling a return to normalcy for the state. Both Delaware and New Jersey will shift towards policies aimed at treating COVID-19 as opposed to preventing the spread.

The mandate will be lifted on March 31st. Democratic Gov. John Carney of Delaware added that the end of the state’s indoor mask mandate will arrive later this week.

“We are lifting DE’s statewide mask mandate for indoor public settings at 8am on Friday, Feb 11. The mask requirement in K-12 public & private schools and child care facilities expires at 11:59pm on Thursday, March 31. We’re in a much better place than we were several weeks ago.”

“I want to be clear about this point — COVID is still circulating in our communities,” Carney wrote on social media. “And the virus still poses a risk of serious illness, particularly among those who are not up to date on their vaccinations. But we have the tools to keep ourselves and each other safe. Get vaccinated. Get your booster,” the Governor added.
