Last week, the Biden Administration announced that it would be filling in some gaps in the border wall near Yuma, Arizona —and Fox News’ Peter Doocy had one very obvious question.
“By filling in the wall, is this racist? Because in 2019 when the former guy was proposing a wall, you said it was his ‘racist’ wall,” Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre.
KJP appeared not to understand the point Doocy was making and, instead, pivoted to the talking point that building a wall is not an effective use of taxpayer dollars —even though they just announced they are currently building it.
Round and round we go.

The Biden Administration is gearing up to fill border wall gaps near Yuma, Arizona —one of the biggest locations for illegal migrant crossings. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has authorized the new plan in an effort to “deploy modern, effective border measures” and improve safety.
The project will be funded under Homeland Security’s 2021 budget, Fox News reports.
New wall construction comes as New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser sounded the alarm this week about the influx of migrants in their cities; Bowser has requested the National Guard step in to assist.
