Not backing down.
Florida Congressman Byron Donalds stopped by Hannity Tuesday night to react to the now-viral clip of a recent town hall showdown with an anti-Israel protester.
“We are going to do town hall meetings regardless because I feel that that’s what members of Congress should be doing, regardless of people who want to come in and try to takeover and boo or whatever they want to do,” Donalds told Hannity.
“This is why Donald Trump supports me to be Florida’s next governor. I will take the message of common sense and conservatism anywhere, anyplace, any time, and in any audience,” Donalds continued. “I’m not going to be intimidated by any of these protesters — members of Congress should not be intimidated by any of these people.”
“If they’re going to be rude and disrespectful, kick them out of the room.”
Hannity asked Donalds if he felt protests at town halls were “astro turfed” and arranged by the Democratic Party machine.
“I would say that local Democrats are being organized going into town halls … but they’re not going to hear Democrats talking points and they’re not going to hear spin,” Donalds said. “But when you don’t bend to their will, they get upset and yell like they did last night.”
