According to Trump, DeSantis’ political career was almost over in 30 minutes or less.
During an exclusive interview with former President and 2024 candidate Donald Trump on Monday night’s Hannity, host Sean Hannity asked Trump the question on everyone’s mind: what happened with Ron DeSantis?
“The question I’m asked most about as of late about you is about Ron DeSantis —what happened?” Hannity asked the former POTUS.
“He was good and he defended me…and he wanted to get my support [for governor],” Trump says. “He came to see me, he was getting killed, he was getting crushed,” Trump continued, adding “Ron came to see me, tears in his eyes, you need to do me a big favor: ‘you need to endorse me.'”
“He said ‘I need your endorsement.'”
“I said, let’s give it a shot,” Trump said of a DeSantis endorsement.
“I got him the nomination. By the way, he would never have gotten the nomination. He would be working at a pizza parlor or a law office right now,” Trump says.
