“I’ll never be a part of this.”
Maverick Democratic Senator John Fetterman stopped by Hannity Wednesday night to implore his own party to “do the right thing” and “put the country ahead of the party” and reopen DHS.
“I’ve talked to countless TSA agents, and they are all hurting. They are angry. They are frustrated. They are exhausted from what they have been put through,” Fetterman said. “These are not wealthy people — they earn around $50,000 a year — that should be our wheelhouse.”
“They’re union government workers,” Fetterman continued. “And if we refuse to give them a paycheck … don’t talk about ‘affordability’ and you can’t even give them a paycheck.”
Fetterman shared some of the stories he’s heard from TSA workers who are trying to get by.
“They’re selling their blood. They have to take loans … this kind of chaos is fundamentally wrong. I refuse to be a part of it. Reopen this DHS … it’s creating mass chaos.”
Fetterman continues to be the voice of reason in a party that has gone off a cliff.
