DITCHING THE DONKEYS? Watch Manchin Talk Re-Election, Won't Say He's a Democrat

West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin (D) stopped by Sunday Morning Futures for a chat with host Maria Bartiromo this weekend —and he dropped a few eyebrow-raising comments.

Manchin addressed his political future and raised questions about his party affiliation.

“Do you still identify as a Democrat?” host Maria Bartiromo asked the senator.

“I identify as an American. I’m an American through and through,” Machin responded.

“My main concern is how do we bring this country together? How do we make it work?” he responded to a question about his reelection bid.

“How do we make Democrats, Republicans become Americans again, and not just party affiliates?”
